It’s been quite some time, so here goes update time. It’s nearing the end of time (this is what i wrote while listening to other conversations in the room)….what i meant to say is, it’s nearing the end of the term at school and my kids are writing their exams. I decided, without thought, to volunteer my services of typing and printing exams. Bad idea. But, at least we have somewhat error free exams this term, we’ll see if this kindness will roll over into next term. no promises. I’ve been out and about during our school breaks and have gotten the chance to see a little bit of Malawi. Recently I went to Nyika wilderness park and did some camping and hiking out there, pictures to follow hopefully soon. At the end of this term I’m heading back down south to Blantyre to hike Mt. Mulanje and hang out in the city for a few days. School is flying by this year and soon enough ill be flying home to visit after being gone for one full year almost. That’s a little weird but ill deal with it don’t you worry. Another project that I think I’m gonna get into is this Moringa tree project. One of the volunteers just south of me has gotten into this tree for its nutritional value (apparently its got everything you could need) and wants to get a bunch of groups growing and selling and making porridge for feeding programs all around town. So I’m gonna try and help her out. There’s a Australian volunteer just near my house who works with children at 10 different orphanages up and down the coast and she’s really excited about replacing her feeding program with this Moringa tree stuff so that will be a good start. Just another thing to keep me busy when I’m not teaching.
